District 1 FAQs

What is District 1?

District 1 is the Eastern and Northeastern section of Wake County: Zebulon, Wendell, Rolesville, Wake Forest, parts of Knightdale, and the northeastern section of Raleigh.

How do I know if I live in District 1?

You can find out this information on your Voter Registration. Use this tool to look up your "Voter Details": https://vt.ncsbe.gov/RegLkup/

I live in a different district, but I think my school is in District 1. Why is this?

Look up your school here: https://www.wcpss.net/Page/5472 School assignment zones do not always align with voting precincts. While Board members are elected by the people who live within their district, we do serve county-wide and work together to solve problems.

How can I find out the most up-to-date information?

You can follow the official calendar on your device. Use this link for directions on how to automatically upload events into your e-calendar. https://www.wcpss.net/site/Default.aspx?PageID=3729&PageType=20&DomainID=2754&ModuleInstanceID=7447

WCPSS shares information with families and the public through direct school contact, on social media, and on our website.

Occasionally, I will host District 1 community chats and share specific information on my social media pages. Please use the icons on this page to follow those.

What is the Board Advisory Council?

Each district has a Board Advisory Council of appointed members who represent each school in District 1. The public is always welcome to attend the discussion part of the meeting. There are four meetings per year, please check the main schedule shared above to find out when the next meeting is. They are usually posted at least one month in advance.
